Section 8 - Operation

6.

The SPAN potentiometer (pot) may be adjusted
counterclockwise to give the customer more pressure at slower
speeds, but adjusting too far will max out pressure so that there
will be no adjustment at high speeds.

The fluid-flow control (EPC) is enclosed within the VC350AG control. The
operation interface is a simple adjust knob that is adjusted from the front
panel. A clockwise rotation increases the pressure and a counterclockwise
rotation decreases the pressure.

The amount of pressure seen on the front panel gauge is the air pressure
boost that is added to the preset pressure at the glue regulator. For
example, the “T” handle on the glue regulator is normally set at 10 psi. If the
EPC pressure is adjusted to 10 psi at jog speed, then the final glue pressure
will be 20 psi.

As the parent machine increases in speed, the glue pressure automatically
increases. If there is too much glue on the product at normal operating
speed, the pressure-control knob may be used to decrease the glue
pressure.

Likewise, as the parent machine decreases in speed, the glue pressure
automatically decreases. If there is not enough glue on the product, the
front-panel knob may be used to increase the glue pressure.
