Checking the Logic Voltage
To ensure that main-board voltage is present, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the power switch while the parent machine is not running and ensure that the front-panel power
indicator on the front panel is illuminated (Figure 51).
2. If indicator is not illuminated, insert a red DVM probe into TP2 and a black DVM probe into TP3 on the
main board (Figure 51). The meter should read +5V + .2V. If it does not read +5V + .2V, do the following:
2a. Ensure that the main panel supply to the control is on and that the unit is plugged in.
2b. Ensure that the transformer power-entry cable is plugged in.
2c. Check the main power fuse in the power entry module.
2d. Check the fuse on the +5/+12V power supply.
2e. Ensure that both the transformer cable to the power supply and the power supply cable to the main
board at J3 are properly connected.
3. If completing the steps above do not resolve the problem, replace the main board and DC power-supply
cable.

Internal Diagnostics
The main circuit board has its own internal diagnostics.
WARNING! Before conducting the following procedure, disconnect the valve
cables from the valve driver board to prevent the valves from firing. OTHER-
WISE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT COULD OCCUR.
To perform internal diagnostics on the circuit card, follow these steps:
1. Locate the dip switch (SW12) in the top right corner of the main board (Figure 10-5). Place the “ENC” and
“SCAN” switches into the up (TST) position. The “ENC” LEDS (D4 and D11) should illuminate, the
“SCAN” LED should blink, and the “RATIO” LED (D10) should illuminate.
