The output of the glue valve must be routed to a location that is airtight so that the glue does not dry. Dry glue may
cause the valve to remain open. A short length of tubing submersed in a bucket of water is recommended. Or the
tubing may be routed back to the glue supply and submerged in the glue. After the system is installed, purge all the
air from the tubing by activating the 3-way bypass button until the line is full of glue and no air is present.

Electrical Installation of Automatic Glue-Pressure Relief Valve
A 12VDC, 1A driver is available at the connector labeled “J9-DUMP” on the interface board. Connections are as
follows:
Pin 1: 1 2 V
Pin 2: Signal
JP3 on the main board must be placed in the “OLD DUMP” position. Then P4 (TIME) can be adjusted from
minimum (CCW) to maximum (CW) to get a 0-10-second dump time. This potentiometer will determine the
amount of time that the glue-pressure relief valve is on after the parent machine goes below minimum speed. See
Section 6—Installation
for setup information.
