Data Enable
Sets the polarity of the "Data Enable" signal. This signal determines the user data to be
measured.
The DUT usually provides the data enable signal, but you can also use a marker signal
of R&S
SMBV.
"High"
If the "Data Enable" signal is at a high level, the incoming data bits
are interpreted as user data. During the low level, the data is interpre-
ted as checksum bits.
"Low"
If the "Data Enable" signal is at a low level, the incoming data bits are
interpreted as user data. During the high level, the data is interpreted
as checksum bits.
Remote command:
Threshold
Sets the threshold (high/low) in volts for the input signals "Clock", "Data", "Data
Enable" and "Restart".
The variable threshold enables you to align in puts with the level of different signals. In
addition, reflections and other interference can be suppressed by selecting the appro-
priate threshold.
Remote command:
[:SOURce]:INPut:BERT:THReshold
Impedance
Sets the input impedance of the input signals "Clock", "Data", "Data Enable" and
"Restart".
For high clock rates, select 50
Ohms.
Remote command:
[:SOURce]:INPut:BERT:IMPedance
Timeout
Sets a time limit for the BLER process.
Remote command:
5.4.12 Connector Settings
For both, the BER anfd the BLER measurement, you can map the incoming data signal
to one of the connectors TRIGGER, or MARKER 1. All other signals are firmly
assigned to a connector, as shown in
.
