Removing the rear wheel
Place the motorcycle on a paddock
stand so as to lift the rear wheel off
the ground.
Undo the screws (B) and remove the
rear brake caliper (A) from the plate
but leave it connected to the braking
system.
Loosen the nuts (8) and tighten the
screws (9) on the swingarm so to
slacken the chain.
Undo one of the nuts (1) securing the
wheel (5) to the swingarm. Keep the
slider (10).
Pull out the wheel shaft (
2 ) from the
top right side. Keep the swingarm
slider (10).
Caution
The wheel (5) should be duly
supported while performing the
above so that it stays in place once
the wheel shaft (
2 ) has been
removed.
Push the wheel forward to take the
chain off the rear sprocket.
Remove the rear wheel from the
motorcycle. The brake caliper
mounting plate (C) is sitting loose on
the swingarm and the brake disc
might hit the plate during removal.
Securing the plate to the swingarm
with a tie might help prevent damage
to the brake disc.
The wheel comes off complete with
rear sprocket flange (D).
Check the screws (9), the nuts (8) and
the sliders (10) for wear and replace
where necessary.
Now work on the following parts:
- Rear sprocket flange (Sect. G 8);
- rear brake disc (Sect. G 6).
Smontaggio ruota

Posizionare il veicolo su un cavalletto
per poter avere la ruota posteriore
sollevata da terra.
Rimuovere la pinza freno posteriore
(A) dalla piastra lasciandola collegata
all’impianto, svitando le viti (B).
Allentare i dadi (8) ed avvitare le viti (9)
sul forcellone in modo da allentare la
catena.
Svitare uno dei dadi (1) di fissaggio
ruota (5) al forcellone e recuperare il
rispettivo cursore (10).
Sfilare il perno ruota (
2 ) dall’altro lato
destro e recuperando quindi anche il
secondo cursore (10) sul forcellone.
Importante
Durante queste operazioni
sostenere adeguatamente la ruota (5)
in modo che non possa cadere
durante la rimozione del perno ruota
(
2 ).
Spingere in avanti la ruota per
permettere alla catena di scarrucolare
dalla corona posteriore.
Sfilare la ruota facendo attenzione
che il disco freno non urti la piastra (C)
porta pinza freno che è libera e
solamente appoggiata al forcellone:
eventualmente fissare la piastra porta
pinza al forcellone con una fascetta.
La ruota rimossa è completa di flangia
porta corona (D).
Verificare lo stato di usura delle viti
(9), dei dadi (8) e dei cursori (10) ed
eventualmente sostituirli.
A questo punto è possibile intervenire
sui seguenti componenti:
- Flangia portacorona (Sez. G 8);
- disco freno posteriore (Sez. G 6).
