Regolazione tensione
catena
Far girare lentamente la ruota
posteriore, per trovare la posizione in
cui la catena risulta più tesa.
Posizionare il motociclo sul cavalletto
laterale.
Spingere la catena con un dito verso
l’alto in corrispondenza della mezzeria
del forcellone (vedi targhetta
adesiva).
Il ramo inferiore della catena deve
poter compiere una escursione di
circa
25÷30 mm.
Per registrare la tensione procedere
come segue:
Allentare il dado (1) di fissaggio perno
ruota.
Allentare il controdado (2) e svitare
della stessa entità, in senso
antiorario, la vite (3) su entrambi i lati
del forcellone per alimentare la
tensione o avvitare per diminuirla.
In questo ultimo caso è necessario
spingere in avanti la ruota.
Importante
Una catena non correttamente
tesa causa una veloce usura degli
organi di trasmissione.
Verificare la corrispondenza, su
entrambi i lati del forcellone, delle
tacche di posizionamento rispetto a
quelle del cursore (4); in questo modo
sarà garantito il perfetto allineamento
della ruota.
Serrare il dado (1) del perno ruota alla
coppia prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Mantenere in posizione le viti (3) e
serrare i controdadi (2) alla coppia
prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Adjusting chain tension
Turn the rear wheel slowly until
finding the position at which the chain
is tightest.
Place the motorcycle on the side
stand.
Push the chain upwards with one
finger at swingarm mid-length (see
label).
The lower length of the chain should
have
25-30 mm slack.
When required, adjust tension as
follows:
Undo the nut (1) on the wheel shaft.
Loosen the check nut (2) and turn the
screw (3) on either side of the
swingarm anti-clockwise by the same
number of turns to increase load or
clockwise to decrease.
In the latter case, you will need to
push the wheel forward.
Caution
A slack chain will lead to early
wear of the transmission
components.
Check that the reference marks on
both sides of the swingarm are lined
up with marks on sliding shoe (4).
This indicates perfect wheel
alignment.
Tighten the nut (1) of the wheel shaft
to the specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Keep the screws (3) in position and
tighten the check nuts (2) to the
specified torque (Sect. C 3).
