Overview
This section describes the features and the block diagram of the Programmable CRC.
Features of Programmable CRC
The Programmable CRC is a software configurable module with serial CRC calculation logic as hardware
implementation. The serial CRC logic works on modulo-2 arithmetic for calculation of checksum. The
CRC module can detect errors in data blocks by calculating a checksum.

Programmable 8-, 16-, 24-, or 32-bit input data width

Programmable polynomial value (polynomial degree from 2 to 32)

Programmable initial seed value

Programmable final checksum XOR value

Interrupt and DMA trigger capability

Configurable input/output bit reflection and byte swapping. This facilitates the different settings of
common CRC standards and the handling of data organized in little or big endian format

Supports block/multiple data transfers (more than 32-bit)
