BV, Boolean operation The function block enables the values to be combined in
Boolean (logic) operations. It has the following functions:
• Masking out of particular bits from values,
• Bit pattern recognition,
• Bit pattern modification.
easySafety allows the use of up to 16 Boolean operations.

a Inputs BV..I1 and BV..I2: The data block at input I1 is compared
with the value at I2.
b Contact BV..ZE: Closes if operation result equals zero.
c Output BV..QV: Outputs the operation result.
Wiring of the function block
You wire the function block in the standard circuit diagram
with its contact. Example of a function block for Boolean
operation:
