The apparatus control function is realized by means of a number of function blocks
designated:

Switch controller SCSWI

Circuit breaker SXCBR
•
Circuit switch SXSWI

Bay control QCBAY
•
Bay reserve QCRSV
•
Reservation input RESIN
•
Local remote LOCREM
•
Local remote control LOCREMCTRL
The signal flow between the function blocks is shown in Figure
. To realize the
reservation function, the function blocks Reservation input (RESIN) and Bay reserve
(QCRSV) also are included in the apparatus control function. The application
description for all these functions can be found below. The function SCILO in the
Figure below is the logical node for interlocking.
When the circuit breaker or switch is located in a breaker IED, two more functions are
added:
•
GOOSE receive for switching device GOOSEXLNRCV
•
Proxy for signals from switching device via GOOSE XLNPROXY
The extension of the signal flow and the usage of the GOOSE communication are
shown in Figure
