Installation
Site
Install
the Inverter under the following conditions and in a pollution degree 2 environment.
Protection
covers are attached to the top and bottom of the Inverter. Be sure to remove the protection covers
before
installing a 200 or 400-V class Inverter with an output of 18.5 kW or less in a panel.
Observe
the following precautions when mounting the Inverter.
•
Install
the Inverter in a clean location free from oil mist and dust. It can be installed in a totally enclosed
panel
that is completely shielded from floating dust.
•
When
installing or operating the Inverter, always take special care so that metal powder, oil, water, or other
foreign
matter does not get into the Inverter.
•
Do
not install the Inverter on combustible material, such as wood.
•
Install
the Inverter in a location free from radioactive materials and combustible materials.
•
Install
the Inverter in a location free from harmful gasses and liquids.

Controlling
the
Ambient
Temperature
To
enhance the reliability of operation, the Inverter should be installed in an environment free from extreme
temperature
increases. If the Inverter is installed in an enclosed environment, such as a box, use a cooling fan
or
air conditioner to maintain the internal air temperature below 45
°
C.

Protecting
the
Inverter
from
Foreign
Matter
Place
a cover over the Inverter during installation to shield it from metal powder produced by drilling.
Always
remove the cover from the Inverter after completing installation. Otherwise, ventilation will be
reduced,
causing the Inverter to overheat.
