Installation
Only one CD-VM00 can be installed per system.
1.
Wear a grounding strap while handling the CD-VM00 and lay it on a
flat workspace.
2.
Mount the CR-2032 battery with the + side up in the BATT slot on the
CD-VM00 (refer to
Figure 4-26 Install the CR-2032 Battery
).
3.
To Install the SO-DIMM memory on the CD-VM00 blade, insert the
end with the brass connectors into the CN14 1 slot first.
4.
Push the other end down until the lock on both sides locks into place
(refer to
Figure 4-27 Install the SO-DIMM Memory on page 4-88
).
Handle the CF drive carefully. To prevent damage, do
not drop the drive or apply pressure to it.
This unit makes extensive use of CMOS technology
and is very susceptible to static; extreme care must be
taken to avoid static discharge when handling
