Auto-Cleaning
Maximum heating is specified at start of measurement
and element changeover. This cleaning is effective
when the analyte element of the previous measurement
is left in the cuvette. For automatic cleaning, click the
check box to place the check mark in it and make
your entry for [Cleaning Time]. A time period of 5 to 10
seconds may be adequate for cleaning. Input is
effective within a range of 5 to 20 seconds.

Auto-Lamp Off
For automatically turning off the hollow cathode lamp at
the end of measurement sequence, click the check box
to place the check mark in it.

Tray Type
For selection of the standard tray, specify A. Max. 60
samples can be set.
For using the 96–microtiter plate, select [B] or [C]
depending on the depth of microtiter plate.
This selection requires an optional microplate holder.
For details of setting, refer to the instruction manual of
the holder.
(3) Setting of Modifier Addition
For adding a matrix modifier, click the [Modifier/QC Cup
No.] tab (<2> in Fig. 3-24) at the top of window to open the
input window. (See Fig. 3-20.) Available cup positions
are limited to 52 (M1), 54 (M2), 56 (M3)and 58 (M4) on the
tray A, and 97 (M1), 98 (M2), 99 (M3), 100 (M4) on the
trays B and C. Click the check box in the [Modifier]
column at the cup position to be used, and the check mark
will appear in it. Then, make entries for [Modifier Name],
[Volume] and [Addition].
Measurement can be performed without entering modifier
name.
Any volume of 1 to 20

L can be specified in [Volume], but
a volume of about 10

L may be appropriate.
Modifier is to be added to the injected sample.
Hence, modifier volume must be determined so that the
total volume of modifier and sample will not surpass the
permissible injection volume of each cuvette. Since the
amount of the sample in the cuvette increases, drying time
should be extended when required.
