1.4  Graphite Cuvette Installation 

1 - 6 

NOTES

:  1.  The graphite cuvette is worn and deteriorated due 

to sublimation of graphite or its reaction with the 
sample vapor, etc. through repeated 
measurements.    If the graphite cuvette has 
significantly deteriorated, atomic absorption 
sensitivity fluctuates and reproducibility is 
degraded.    In such a case, the graphite cuvette 
should be replaced with a new one.   
The cumulative number of graphite furnace 
operations is displayed on the monitor window.   
Before start of measurement, check the displayed 
number and replace the graphite cuvette with a 
new one when necessary.     
Note that attention should be paid to the progress 
of deterioration of the graphite cuvette since its 
lifetime varies with sample constituents.   
In analyses of samples similar to an aqueous 
solution, the Pyro Tube HR has an approximate 
lifetime of 1,000 measurements. 

 

 

2.  The heating temperature varies depending on the 

resistance value of each cuvette. Do not perform 
measurement by using any cuvettes other than 
those configured by this instrument.
