Demodulation Measurements (except for Loopback BER) Acquisition Setup
TD-SCDMA Demodulation related measurements are ModAcc, CDP, PVT, and Loopback BER. These have
special requirements for Acquisition Setup. The requirements for ModAcc, CDP, and PVT are described
here. For Loopback BER, see
"Loopback BER Acquisition Setup" on page 304
.
These three measurements require that the captured data only have one burst/slot which to be analyzed.
To assure this, Trigger must be used. Trigger Delay, Analysis Offset and Analysis Interval are combined to
make sure only one burst/slot is captured. Obviously, the case that the adjacent Timeslots both have
bursts is not supported. Below are two examples:
If Trigger Type is Video, make sure the sequence won’t be triggered by the signal other than the burst being
analyzed. Generally, the signal being tested should have UpPTS. The Trigger Delay is set to small negative
value (such as 100~200 us), and the Analysis Interval is set to 800 us to capture the whole burst/slot.
If Trigger Type is Internal/External1/External2, you need to know exactly what the trigger is. Generally,
Frame Trigger is used. Using the Trigger delay or the Analysis Offset to skip the unwanted signal. For
example, 850 us if measuring TS1.
Also note that the Analysis Timeslot must be set to TS1 no matter which Timeslot is really analyzed.
Command to set up analyzer sequence for ILPC measurement
Inner Loop Power Control in the uplink is the ability of the UE to adjust its output power in accordance with
TPC (transmit power control) commands received in the downlink. TPC_cmd, along with the power control
step size, determines the UE transmit output power. The power change is applied in the timeslot adjacent
to the timeslot in which the TPC command is received.
An RUI command is provided to facilitate the user to configure sequence for ILPC measurement. All the
input parameters of the command are listed below:
•
Frequency: specifies the frequency to measure of the whole sequence.
