HX7+ ASD Installation and Operation Manual

Cable/Terminal Specifications
Installation shall conform to the latest release of the NEC Article 110 (Requirements for Electrical
Installations), all regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and any other
applicable national, regional, or industry codes and standards.
Note:
The following cable suggestions serve as a guideline for the customer installing
directly to the ASD breaker. These suggestions shall not be the sole determining
factor of the lug or wire size used with the ASD. Application-specific applicables,
wire insulation type, conductor material, and local and regional regulations are but a
few of the considerations when selecting the actual lug and wire type to be used with
the ASD.
Note:
Cable specifications take full-load current and breaker lug accommodations into
consideration. Although the following cable suggestions take current ratings into
consideration, the minimum cable size may not be suitable for an application
requiring a current load near the upper end of the cable specification. Please consult
the NEC for cable specifications appropriate for your application.
Note:
Cables and Terminals specifications are based on the rated current of the ASD —
they
DO NOT
include a 10% Service Factor.
