clear ipv6 neighbors
Delete all entries in the IPv6 neighbor discovery cache or neighbors of a specific interface. Static entries are not removed using this
command.
Syntax
clear ipv6 neighbors [vrf
vrf-name
] [
ipv6-address
|
interface
]
Parameters
vrf
vrf-name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword
vrf
followed by the name of the VRF to clear the
neighbor corresponding to that VRF.
NOTE:
If you do not specify this option, the neighbors in the default VRF are
cleared.
ipv6-address
Enter the IPv6 address of the neighbor in the x:x:x:x::x format to remove a specific IPv6
neighbor.
NOTE:
The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of zero.
interface

To remove all neighbor entries learned on a specific interface, enter the keyword
interface
then the interface type and slot/port or number information of the
interface:
•
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet
then
the stack/slot/port/subport information.
•
For a 25-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
twentyFiveGigE
then the
stack/slot/port/subport information.
•
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE
then the stack/
slot/port[/subport] information.
•
For a 50-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fiftyGigE
then the stack/
slot/port/subport information.
•
For a 100-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
hundredGigE
then the
stack/slot/port information.
•
For a port channel interface, enter the keywords
port-channel
then a number.
•
For a VLAN interface, enter the keyword
vlan
then a number from 1 to 4094.
