Switching the Emergency Call Priority Switch On/Off
Switching the Emergency Call Priority Switch On/Off
If the emergency call priority switch is enabled, an external line is definitely made available from
the PBX when dialling the emergency number or if an alarm is detected.
Proceed as follows:
•
Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page
Public switched tel. networks > Emergency calls
.
2. Under
EMERGENCY CALL HAS PRIORITY
, select or clear the
Emergency call has
priority
check box.
Note:
The emergency call priority switch is enabled for the entire PBX.
Switching Emergency Call Only with Exchange Line Access Number On/Off
If
Emergency call only with exchange line access number
is enabled, the emergency
number must be dialled with the exchange line access number entered under
Public switched
tel. networks > Exchange line request
(e. g. 0112 instead of only 112). In this way, numbers
beginning with 11... will remain available to be assigned as internal numbers.
If
Emergency call only with exchange line access number
is disabled, an emergency
number can be dialled without exchange line access number, but it is not possible to assign
internal numbers which begin with the first digits of an emergency number.
Important:
Since the exchange line access number must be dialled in
advance if
Emergency call only with exchange line access number
is
enabled, there is a risk that the exchange line access number is forgotten in
an emergency so that no emergency call can be made.
Note:
If you try to disable
Emergency call only with exchange line
access number
after internal numbers beginning with the first digits of an
emergency number have been entered, an error messasge will be
displayed. Solve the problem by assigning new phone numbers to the
internal subscribers in question.
