Configuring a Fax Box
Fax Box
A fax box accepts incoming faxes and saves them as *.pdf files. The maximum length of a fax
is 50 pages.
The fax receiving function is supported with maximally 9.6 kbps (V.29).
Configuring a Fax Box
Requirements:

Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
1. Create a fax box. Here, the fax box is assigned a number and a name. If required, an
owner is assigned.
2. Configure the
Maximum recording capacity
for the fax box.
3. If required, enable
Automatic clean-up
.
4. If required, configure further properties (
E-mail transfer
on incoming fax, in the case
of full memory, in case of failure of automatic clean-up, or after fax transfer,
Fax ID
for
the fax transfer).
5. If required, select further users for the fax box and enable or disable their authorisa-
tions (
Administrate settings
).
6. If required, assign a profile to the fax box.
7. Only if no profile has been assigned to the fax box (default settings of the standard
profile) or if settings have been made in the profile which can be enabled by the user

Call acceptance

) for the fax box.
8. If required, configure
Readiness
permanently for the fax box.
9. If required, configure external call distribution for the fax box (
Public switched tel.
networks > Call distribution
).
10. For the fax box to accept incoming calls, the fax box has to be switched on for a
subscriber/a group.
