Switching Remote Access and Entering PIN for Remote Access
If remote access is enabled, you can query a voice mailbox from an external connection. The
remote access can be performed by the administrator, sub-administrator, or owner/user after
entering the corresponding PIN.
Proceed as follows:

Using the configuration manager
Requirements:

Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
1. Open the page
Devices > Voice mail/fax boxes > Properties > Box settings
.
2. In the list field at the top, select the voice mailbox in question according to the name
or number.
3. Select or clear the
Remote access
check box.
4. If you have enabled the remote access function, enter the PIN for remote access in
the
PIN for remote access
entry field. Possible entries:
Note:
All pins in the PBX are unambiguous. This means it is not possible to
assign the same PIN twice. As the PINs can also be entered by phone, only
numbers are allowed. A PIN always has 6 digits. A PIN must not begin with
a zero (exception admin PIN).
Searching for a Voice Message
You can search for a stored voice message within a voice mailbox.
Proceed as follows:
