Configuring the Authentication Type of the Outgoing Mail Server
Note:
In the factory settings, the port is set to 25.
Configuring the Authentication Type of the Outgoing Mail Server
Proceed as follows:
•
Separately for outgoing mail servers.
•
Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
•
Knowledge of the access data for the outgoing mail server
1. Open the page
Administration > E-mail > Outgoing mail server
.
2. In the list field at the top, select an outgoing mail server according to its name.
3. In the
Authentication type
list field, select one of the following options:

With enabled authentication: Enter user name and password.

No authentication
: Disables authentication.
User name / Password (AUTH PLAIN)
: Enables authentication via password.
User name / Password (AUTH LOGIN)
: Enables authentication via password.
MD5 challenge-response (AUTH CRAM-MD5)
: Enables authentication via
MD5 challenge-response (MD5 = Message-Digest Algorithm 5).
