Register 23: EEPROM Support Control and Status (EESUPP), offset 0x01C
The
EESUPP
register indicates if internal operations are required because an internal copy buffer
must be erased or a programming failure has occurred and the operation must be completed. These
conditions are explained below as well as in more detail in the section called “Error During
Programming” on page 619.
■ If either
PRETRY
or
ERETRY
is set indicating that an operation must be completed, setting the
START
bit causes the operation to be performed again
■ The
PRETRY
and
ERETRY
bits are cleared automatically after the failed operation has been
successfully completed.
These bits are not changed by reset, so any condition that occurred before a reset is still indicated
after a reset.
