Level, hysteresis and dropout time
With internal and external triggering (
TRIG:SOUR INT | EXT
), a trigger event is recognized when the
level of a trigger signal exceeds a specific value. This value is the trigger level and can be set with
TRIG:LEV
. With internal triggering, the end of the measurement is recognized when the power level
falls below the trigger level. This is not desirable with modulated signals or short interruptions and also
when the level just falls slightly below the trigger level:
•
SENS:BURS:DTOL
is used to define a time span during which the power to be measured in the
BurstAv mode must remain below the trigger level so that the end of the burst can be detected.
•
TRIG:HYST
is used to specify a value in dB by which the signal must fall below the trigger level so
that the end of a burst can be detected.
