2.2 SUPPLEMENTAL FLIGHT DATA
In addition to the flight instruments, the PFD also displays various supplemental information, including
temperature, wind data, and Vertical Navigation (VNV) indications.
GENERIC TIMER
The generic timer can be accessed via softkeys on the PFD and allows for quick access for timing functions
(either counting up or down) for the pilot.
Using the generic timer:
1)
Press the
TMR/REF
Softkey.
2)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to select the timer field (HH:MM:SS).
3)
Use the
FMS
Knob to enter the desired time.
4)
Press the
ENT
Key. The Up/Dn field is now highlighted.
5)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to display the Up/Dn Window.
6)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to select ‘Up’ or ‘Dn’.
7)
Press the
ENT
Key. ‘Start?’ is now highlighted.
8)
Press the
ENT
Key to start the timer. The field changes to ‘Stop?’. If the timer is counting down, it will start
counting up after reaching zero.
9)
To stop the timer, press the
ENT
Key with ‘Stop?’ highlighted. The field changes to ‘Reset?’.
10)
To reset the timer, press the
ENT
Key with ‘Reset?’ highlighted. The field changes back to ‘Start?’ and the digits
are reset.
11)
To remove the window, press the
CLR
Key or the
TMR/REF
Softkey.
TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
The Outside Air Temperature (OAT) is displayed in the lower left corner of the PFD. It may be shown in degrees
Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F), depending on the selected temperature units on the ‘Aux - System Setup 1’ Page.
