ip ospf hello-interval
Use
this
command
to
set
the
number
of
seconds
a
router
must
wait
before
sending
a
hello
packet
to
neighbor
routers
on
an
interface.
The
no
form
of
this
command
sets
the
hello
interval
value
to
the
default
value
of
10
seconds.
Syntax
ip ospf hello-interval
seconds
no ip ospf hello-interval

This
example
shows
how
to
set
the
hello
interval
to
5
for

VLAN

ip ospf dead-interval
Use
this
command
to
set
the
number
of
seconds
a
router
must
wait
to
receive
a
hello
packet
from
its
neighbor
before
determining
that
the
neighbor
is
out
of
service.
The
no
form
of
this
command
sets
the
dead
interval
value
to
the
default
value
of
40
seconds.

ip ospf dead-interval
seconds
no ip ospf dead-interval
Parameters
Defaults
None.
seconds
Specifies
the
hello
interval
in
seconds.
Hello
interval
must
be
the
same
on
neighboring
routers
(on
a
specific
subnet),
but
can
vary
between
subnets.
This
parameter
is
an
unsigned
integer
with
valid
values
between
1
and
65535
.
seconds
Specifies
the
number
of
seconds
that
a
router
must
wait
to
receive
a
hello
packet
before
declaring
the
neighbor
as
“dead”
and
removing
it
from
the
OSPF
neighbor
list.
Dead
interval
must
be
the
same
on
neighboring
routers
(on
a
specific
subnet),
but
can
vary
between
subnets.
This
parameter
is
an
unsigned
integer
ranging
from
1
to
65535
.
Default
value
is
40
seconds.
