Additional Procedures
If the level sense bead was not removed, no alignments are required. If the bead was
removed, perform all the alignments for that probe as described in UniCel DxC
Synchron Clinical Systems Reference Manual, System Tools.

• Reagent A Crane or Probe
• Reagent B Crane or Probe.
Replacing the Sample and Reagent Probe
The Sample or Reagent Probe should be replaced when visual inspection or chemistry
performance indicates there is a compromised probe condition (scratches, pits or
blockage). These instructions cover installation of the replaceable style probe.
To remove the old probe, follow the steps below.
CAUTION
To prevent damage due to electrical static discharge (ESD), wear a wrist
ground strap when performing this procedure. For further instructions, refer
to "
" in the beginning of this chapter.

Press the STOP button on the instrument to stop all motors.

Using a 3/8 inch open end or adjustable wrench, loosen the nut (1) at top of
probe by turning counterclockwise (looking up from the bottom of the
probe). Continue loosening with fingers.
