An in-line filter downstream of the sample filter protects the mass flow
controller from any particles that may remain in the air flow. The mass flow
controller operates under the control of the sampler’s microprocessor, and
maintains the sample stream at a constant
volumetric
flow rate (16.7 L/min
default) through the use of ambient temperature and pressure sensors. The
accumulator minimizes pulsations caused by the vacuum pump.
The Partisol Sampler maintains a constant volumetric flow rate at the set
point entered by the user (usually 16.7 L/min), and reports sampled volumes
