7.2.7 Mounting the Exit Gas Cooler
Respect the following conditions for sterilisation:
The exit gas filter must not come off during sterilisation
The exit gas line must be open and may not be clamped off.
The silicone hose between exit gas cooler and filter must not
kink during sterilisation
WARNING!
Risk of overpressure in the vessel during steri-
lisation!
Pressure equalisation during sterilisation is not
possible with a blocked exit gas line due to kinking
or clamping off or a blocked exit gas filter. This may
lead to overpressure in the vessel, which can
cause severe injuries or loss of property!
Therefore:
– Ensure the exit gas line is open.
– Ensure the exit gas line is not kinked.
– Ensure the exit gas filter is new and dry.
To mount the exit gas cooler, proceed as follows:
Procedure
1.
Screw the exit gas cooler’s threaded collar into the 12 mm
port in the vessel top plate.
Ensure the orientation does not interfere with other fitted ele-
ments of the vessel top plate, either in place or to be fitted af-
terwards.
2.
Ensure the exit gas filter sits tightly.
3.
Cover the exit gas filter loosely with a little aluminium foil.
