Carefully take off the vessel top plate. Check on damages and
replace if necessary.
6.
Check the glass vessel on damage (cracks, scratches etc.),
replace as necessary.
Checking gaskets (O-rings)
O-rings are used to seal all openings on the vessel and top plate.
The top plate and all internal fittings or connections are thus
equipped with O-rings. Before every use, the O-rings must be
checked that they are present, undamaged and correctly seated.
Damaged O-rings must be replaced.
Carry out this check as follows:
Procedure
1.
Check the top plate gasket (O-ring) for damage. Replace, if
necessary.
2.
Check the top plate gasket is correctly seated: it must lie firmly
in the groove on the inner side of the top plate, reposition it, if
necessary.
3.
Loosen and remove all blanking plugs in the 12 mm ports with
the hexagon socket spanner provided with the equipment.
4.
Loosen and remove the cheese-head screws next to the
10 mm ports.
5.
Pull component parts (sparger, blanking plugs etc.) out of the
10 mm ports.
6.
Loosen and remove the tube holder with a spanner.
7.
Pull addition port adapters out of the ports
