5 Transport, Packaging and Storage
5.1 Safety Instructions for Transport
Personnel
Transport of the equipment may only be carried out by qualified
personnel.
Inappropriate transportation
CAUTION!
Damage due to inappropriate transportation!
Inappropriate transportation may cause considera-
ble loss of property.
Therefore:
– Handle packed items with care and caution
when unloading on delivery, as well as during
in-house transportation. Observe all symbols in-
structions on the packaging.
– Remove packaging finally only when the equip-
ment is ready to be brought into use.
5.2 Transport Inspection
Immediately verify delivery on receipt for completeness and free-
dom from any transit damage.
Proceed as follows when transit damage is physically identifiable:
Do not accept delivery or under reserve only.
Note extent of loss on transport documentation or delivery
note.
Initiate complaint.
NOTICE!
Complain regarding a defect as soon as it is identi-
fied. Claims for damages can only be made within
the effective terms for presenting complaints ac-
cording to the manufacturer’s general conditions of
contract.
