NOTICE!
The stirrer cannot start if it is not correctly seated.
Drive shafts for cell cultures are not anchored in a
bearing.
3.
Carefully fit the top plate on the vessel
and secure with
the clamping ring.
4.
Mount the vessel in the holder on the basic unit and secure
with the snap closure.
5.
Close the water flow control valve to the exit gas cooler on the
basic unit (turn clockwise).
This prevents water being discharged from the connection for
the exit gas cooler.
6.
Connect the hose of the sparger in the vessel to the air supply
of the basic unit (hose nozzle beneath the rotameter).
CAUTION!
Greatly exceeding of the set point due to turned
off gas supply!
If the gas supply to the active mass flow controller
(optional!)
is shut off, this leads to a high accumu-
lated controller error that prevents the preselected
nominal value being reached. Retrospective open-
ing of the gas supply causes the parameter to
greatly exceed its setpoint value.
Therefore:
– Always turn on the gas supply before switching
on the “flow” parameter (optional).
Check gassing:
7.
Slowly open (counter clockwise) the rotameter valve until gas
bubbles can be seen flowing through the liquid in the vessel.
If an (optional) mass flow controller is installed, gassing is set
and switched on according to the corresponding "flow" param-
eters on the operating panel.
