6.5.2 Connecting the Controller of the Master Unit with the Controllers of the Satel-
lite Unit(s)
DANGER!
Life-threatening hazard due to electrical cur-
rent!
Contact with live parts can cause fatal injuries!
Therefore:
– Before starting work, switch off all units at the
main switch and disconnect them from the
power supply or pull out the plug.
Connect the iDDC satellite cable(s) to the circuit boards (control-
lers) on the rear panel inside the housing of the basic units.
The illustration below shows, from left to right, the interior side of
the rear panel of two satellite units and the master unit with the
iDDC satellite cables connected.

2 Satellite unit (Bior C + D)
3 iDDC bus cable (display cable) of the touch
screen operating panel
4 Master unit (Bior A + B)
5 iDDC satellite cable
The circuit boards (controllers) are labelled A to F so that they can
be easily assigned to the bioreactors in the operating panel. The
