CAUTION!
Risk of damage to the pump heads!
Sterilising the pump heads at too high tempera-
tures may lead to damage.
Therefore:
– Never sterilise the pump heads at temperatures
above 125 °C.
Before you begin, ensure that the reagent tubes are empty and the
equipment is switched off at the main switch.
Proceed as follows:
Procedure
1.
Clamp off reagent hoses.
2.
Clamp off the sparger hose line.
3.
Disconnect all cable connections (sensors) between the
equipment and the vessel.
4.
Cover all filters and open cable connections with a little alu-
minium foil.
5.
Disconnect the exit gas cooler from the equipment
6.
Pull off and remove the cover plate of the pump heads.
NOTICE!
The cover plate serves only as a protective device
in operating mode. It is not heat proof and therefore
it may not be sterilised.
7.
Pull the mounting plate with the pump heads off the motor
drive shafts on the base unit and fit it into the bottom part of
the vessel holder.
8.
Release the vessel retaining brackets and pull the vessel
holder upwards out of the basic unit.
9.
Sterilise the assembly in the autoclave.
