6.2.3.3 Water Inlet
There must be a water supply of adequate quality at all times.
Cooling water conditions
Take the following into consideration in the choice of cooling water:
Use only water with no more than a slight hardness for cooling pur-
poses.
Only drinking water quality “very soft” or “soft” (CaCO
3
con-
centration

to 1.5 mmol L

) is appropriate.
Demineralised or distilled water can be used as an alterna-
tive for cooling purposes.
Cooling water at a primary pressure of 2 ± 1 bar is appropri-
ate.

Conditions hoses
Only use pressure-resistant and intact hoses.
Only use appropriate hoses, use adaptors as necessary.
Secure hoses with the appropriate clamps

Conditions Drain
Use a heat resistant drain which has no possibility of gener-
ating a back-pressure, e.g. sink.
