WARNING!
Risk of injury caused by overpressure in the
vessel!
A cracking vessel or bursting corrective reagent
hoses due to overpressure in the vessel can lead
to severe injuries and loss of property!
Therefore:
– Never produce overpressure in the vessel.
– Take note and adhere to connection values for
gas and air supply.
– Keep the exit gas filter dry and free from foam.
– Regularly exchange the exit gas filter between
experiments.
– Ensure that the exit gas hose is free and not
kinked.
– Ensure the screw of the hose clamp on the exit
gas hose is slightly loosened so that the exit
gas filter can serve as a predetermined break-
ing point if necessary.
NOTICE!
To avoid clogging of the exit gas filter with foam, a
wash bottle with antifoam reagent can be installed
between exit gas cooler and the filter when working
with cultures that establish a lot of foam. The bottle
serves as a reservoir for the foam in this case
CAUTION!
Danger of scalding and burns due to hot sur-
faces!
Touching the thermal block and the vessel during
the fermentation process carries a risk of burns and
scalding due to hot surfaces.
Therefore:
– Do not touch the vessel, its holder or the ther-
mal block during fermentation with bare hands.
– Always wear protective gloves.
