Check that the O-rings of all component parts and those in the
12 mm ports are correctly seated and undamaged. If neces-
sary, reposition or replace.
NOTICE!
Wet the O-rings with 70% alcohol or a little water to
facilitate removing and replacing them or compo-
nent parts with fitted O-rings. Never use silicone
grease, this can affect sterilisation results!
Mounting the component parts and filling the vessel
When all component parts and ports have been equipped with in-
tact O-rings, the component parts can be remounted.
Please pay attention to the following regarding the addition port
adapters:
The long sides of the needle tips must all face outwards; see the il-
lustration on the left.
When all the required component parts have been mounted, the
vessel can be filled with medium up to the working volume.
NOTICE!
Descriptions about preparation and mounting of the
sensors can be found in the later chapters.
Note the following:
The regular working volume must be increased about 10% to com-
pensate liquid lost by evaporation during sterilisation or it must be
aseptically topped up afterwards.
Checking stirrer shaft and impellers
The correct seat of the stirrer shaft must be checked, before the
vessel top plate can be replaced and fastened.
