3. Optionally, you can install a second 500-watt power
supply for redundant power. With a redundant power
supply installed, you can replace a failing power
supply without turning off the server.
Additional considerations
Additionally, review the following considerations:
1. You must remove any adapter you have installed in
slot 6. You can populate slot 5 only with a half-size
adapter. Before you install the option, consider how
to maximize the performance of the adapters using
slots 1 through 5. Review the documentation that
comes with the adapters and the documentation that
comes with the server for more information.
2. You need the following items to install the Processor
Upgrade Kit.
