Management Processor Update.
Retry updating the Advanced System Management
processor.

If this message appears, remove the diskette and
return to “Updating the Advanced System
Management Processor code” on page 342 to
retry this procedure. If this error message
appears again, remove the diskette, turn off the
system, and contact your service representative
for assistance.
Updating the System Diagnostic programs:
Complete this procedure to update the system diagnostic
programs.
1. Insert the
IBM Netfinity 5500/5500 M10 Diagnostic
Update Diskette 1 of 2 into the diskette drive.
2. Press Ctrl
+
Alt
+
Del to restart the server. The system
begins the power-on self-test (POST).
3. A menu appears containing a number of selections.
Select: Option 2 (Update Diagnostic) and press
Enter.
4. Select a language (0—7) from the list shown on the
next screen and press Enter to accept your choice.
A message in your selected language similar to the
following appears.
