11.3 Starting Up Procedure
Follow the procedure below to start up the absolute position system.
If the encoder cable is disconnected due to transportation or device changes, repeat the procedure
from step [4].
Install the battery.
Enter PA1_02.
Perform position preset.
Follow the description of section
11.2 to install the battery correctly.
Set PA1_02 (INC/ABS system) at 1 (ABS) or 2
(endless non-overflow ABS).
To make new parameters enabled, turn the power off
then on again.
An absolute data lost alarm (dL1) is caused when
the power is turned on first after the absolute
position system is established. Execute position
preset to remove the alarm.
Perform homing.
To establish the coordinate system of the absolute
position system, execute regular homing.

Execute regular operation.
[6]
After above steps [1] through [5] are finished, the absolute
position system is established. You can start regular
operation.
Turn the main power off then
on again.
