La batteria libera gas esplosivi;
tenere lontane scintille, fiamme e
sigarette. Verificare che, durante la
ricarica della batteria, la ventilazione
della zona sia adeguata.

Consigli utili
La Ducati consiglia, onde prevenire
inconvenienti e per il raggiungimento
del migliore risultato finale, di attenersi
genericamente alle seguenti norme:
- in caso di una probabile riparazione
valutare le impressioni del Cliente,
che possono evidenziare anomalie
di funzionamento del motociclo, e
formulare le opportune domande
di chiarimento sui sintomi
dell'inconveniente;
- diagnosticare in modo chiaro le
cause dell'anomalia. Dal presente
manuale si potranno assimilare le
basi teoriche fondamentali, che
peraltro dovranno essere
integrate dall'esperienza personale
e dalla partecipazione ai corsi di
addestramento organizzati
periodicamente dalla Ducati;
- pianificare razionalmente la
riparazione onde evitare tempi
morti come ad esempio il
prelievo di parti di ricambio, la
preparazione degli attrezzi, ecc.;
- raggiungere il particolare da riparare
limitandosi alle operazioni essenziali.
A tale proposito sarà di valido aiuto la
consultazione dello schema relativo
alla sequenza di smontaggio,
esposto nel presente manuale.

The battery produces explosive
gases; keep it away from any source
of ignition such as sparks, flames
and cigarettes. When charging the
battery, ensure that the working
area is properly ventilated.

Useful tips
Ducati recommends that you follow
the instructions below in order to
prevent problems and obtain the
best end result:
- When diagnosing faults, primary
consideration should always be
given to what the customer reports
about motorcycle operation since
this information can highlight
anomalies; your questions to the
customer concerning symptoms
of the fault should be aimed at
clarifying the problem;
- diagnose the problem
systematically and accurately
before proceeding further. This
manual provides the theoretical
background for troubleshooting;
this basis must be combined
with personal experience and
attendance at periodic training
courses held by Ducati;
- repair work should be planned
carefully in advance to prevent
any unnecessary downtime, for
example obtaining the required
spare parts or preparing the
necessary tools, etc.;
- limit the number of operations
needed to access the part to be
repaired. Note that the disassembly
procedures in this manual describe
the most efficient way to reach
the part to be repaired.
