Adjusting the throttle
cable
For instructions on how to adjust the
throttle cable, see Section D 4.
Removal of the throttle
cable
Rotate the throttle race on the throttle
body to free the cable end (A) from
the race. Peel back the rubber
sleeve (B), unscrew the lock nut (C)
and unscrew the adjuster (10) from
the throttle race on the throttle body.
Remove the screws (4) and the
cover (13) and disconnect the throttle
cable from the twistgrip, freeing
the cable end (D) from the race and
fully unscrewing the adjuster (8).
Remove the throttle cable (6) from
the motorcycle.
Remove the screw (9) and remove
the counterweight (12) and the
bushes (11) and (7).
Loosen the two screws (3) fixing
throttle twistgrip to handlebar.
Remove the throttle twistgrip (5)
from the handlebar.
Warning
Any adjustment of the throttle
cable may affect throttle body
adjustments. Consult Section D 5
before refitting the throttle cable.
Refitting the throttle
twistgrip
To refit the throttle twistgrip
components, reverse the steps of
the removal procedure.
Apply the recommended grease to
the throttle cable (6).
Tighten the screw (3), (4) and (9) to
the specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Notes
Refer to the figures on the
next page for correct routing of
the throttle cable.
Regolazione cavo di
comando acceleratore
Per intervenire sui registri del cavo
comando acceleratore consultare
la Sez. D 4.
Smontaggio comando
acceleratore
Ruotare la carrucola comando
acceleratore in modo da disimpegnare
il perno (A) di fermo cavo sulla
carrucola stessa. Solevare il
cappuccio (B), svitare il controdado (C)
e svitare il registro (10) fino a sfilarlo
dalla carrucola comando acceleratore
sul corpo farfallato.
Allentare e rimuovere le viti (4) e il
coperchio (13) e scollegare il cavo
acceleratore dal comando
acceleratore, sfilando il perno (D) di
fermo cavo sulla carrucola e allentando
il registro (8) fino a rimuoverlo.
Rimuovere il cavo (6) comando
acceleratore dal veicolo.
Svitare la vite (9) e rimuovere il
contrappeso (12) la bussola (11) e
la boccola (7).
Allentare le due viti (3) di fissaggio
comando acceleratore al manubrio.
Rimuovere il comando
acceleratore (5) dal manubrio.
Attenzione
Operando sul cavo di comando
acceleratore si può compromettere
la registrazione del corpo farfallato.
Consultare la Sezione D 5 prima di
procedere al rimontaggio del cavo
comando acceleratore.
Rimontaggio comando
acceleratore
Per il rimontaggio dei componenti
comando acceleratore seguire in
ordine inverso le procedure
descritte per lo smontaggio.
Applicare grasso prescritto sul cavo
comando acceleratore (6).
Serrare la vite (3), (4) e (9) alla coppia
di serraggio prescritta (Sez. C 3).
