UDLD will put the port into the diagnostically disabled state in the following
cases:
a
When there is a loopback, the device ID and port ID sent out on a
port is received back.
b
UDLD PDU is received from a partner does not have its own details
(echo).
c
Bidirectional connection is established and no UDLD packets are
received from the partner device within three times the message
interval.
d
In aggressive mode, when the partner does not respond to an ECHO
within 7 seconds.
Commands in this Section
This section explains the following commands:
udld enable (Global Configuration)
Use the
udld enable
command in Global Configuration mode to globally
enable UDLD.
Use the no form of the command to globally disable UDLD.
Syntax
udld enable
no udld enable
Default Configuration
UDLD is disabled by default.
