distance rip
Use the
distance rip
command in Router RIP Configuration mode to set the
route preference value of RIP in the router. Lower route preference values are
preferred when determining the best route. Use the no form of the command
to return the preference to the default value.
Syntax
distance rip
integer
no distance rip
• integer — RIP route preference. (Range: 1-255)
Default Configuration
15 is the default configuration.
Command Mode
Router RIP Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the route preference value of RIP in the router at
100.
console(config-router)#distance rip 100
distribute-list out
Use the
distribute-list out
command in Router RIP Configuration mode to
specify the access list to filter routes received from the source protocol. Use
the no form of the command to remove the access list from the specified
source protocol.
