client-identifier
Use the
client-identifier
command in DHCP Pool Configuration mode to
identify a Microsoft DHCP client to be manually assigned an address. Use the
no
form of the command to remove the client identifier configuration.
Syntax
client-identifier
unique-identifier
no client-identifier
• unique-identifier—The identifier of the Microsoft DHCP client. The
client identifier is specified as 7 bytes of the form
XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX where X is a hexadecimal digit.

This command has no default configuration.

User Guidelines
For Microsoft DHCP clients, the identifier consists of the media type
followed by the MAC address of the client. The media type 01 indicates
Ethernet media.
Use the
command to display pool configuration
parameters.
