Syntax
erase {filename | startup-config | backup | backup-config | application
filename}

filename
—The name of a file on the flash drive.
•
startup-config
—Erases the contents of the startup configuration file.
•
backup
—Erase the backup image.
•
backup-config
—Erases the backup configuration.
•
application
filename—Erases a Dell-supplied application.

This command has no default configuration.

This command is not supported on USB drives.
filedescr
Use the
filedescr
command to add a description to a switch image. Use the
no
version of this command to remove the description from the filename.

—Image file.
• description—Block of descriptive text. (Range: 0-128 characters)
Default Configuration
No description is attached to the active or backup image.
