• name — Default domain name used to complete an unqualified host
name. Do not include the initial period that separates the unqualified host
name from the domain name (Range: 1-255 characters).

Example
The following example defines a default domain name of dell.com.
console(config)#ip domain-name
dell.com
ip host
Use the
ip host
command in Global Configuration mode to define static host
name-to-address mapping in the host cache. To delete the name-to-address
mapping, use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax
ip host
name address
no ip host
name
• name — Host name.
• address — IP address of the host.

No host is defined.
