Tilt the
Media route frame assembly
to the position as shown below. Remove two
tight screws
(19) on
the
Rack assembly
(20) to detach the
Gap sensor assembly
.

Remove a
tight screw
(21) securing the
Gap/Center hole sensor (Lower) board
(22) to the
Sensor
bracket (Bottom)
(23). On the other end, cut off the
Tie wrap
(24) that bind the top and bottom
sensor
bracket
together. Remove and replaced the defective
Gap/Center hole sensor (Lower) board

Remove a
tight screw
(25) to detach the
Metal Sensor bracket
(26) from the
Sensor bracket (Top)
(27).

Remove a
tight screw
(28) securing the
Gap/Center hole sensor (Upper) board
(29) to the
Sensor
bracket (Top)
(27). Remove and replaced the defective
Gap/Center hole sensor (Upper) board
(29).
17.
Reverse the above procedures for reassembly.
• Replace a new
Tie wrap
to bundle the top and bottom
sensor bracket
together.
• After mounting the
Media route frame assembly
to the
printer frame
, move the
Rack assembly
and
the one in the side hole sensor to the direction of
Operator Panel assembly
side (See below).
[IMPORTANT]
Make sure the
media guide
works smoothly. If not, loosen the screw (30) and adjust the clamp ASSY.
• Arrange the wiring harnesses to ensure that they are not interfere with the sliding motion of Gap/Center
hole sensor and are not pinched during installation

After replacement procedure, check the Gap sensor condition based on
Section 6.9.2 Gap/ Center hole
