6.10 ADJUSTING CUTTER SENSORS (Cont’d)
6.10.2 To adjust I-Mark sensor
1.
Ensure the printer power is turned off. Detach the cutter unit
without disconnecting the connector.
First, lift up the
Main cover
, unscrew the
shaft
that holds
the
cutter unit
in place, removed the
shaft
and set aside.
Carefully lift and pull out the
cutter unit
without disconnect
the connector.
2.
Enter to MAINTENANCE MODE, select SERVICE MODE
and then press
FEED
button. Refer to
Section 4.14 Main-
tenance Mode
for more details.
3.
In service mode with SENSOR LEVEL
highlighted, press
FEED
repeatedly until CUTTER SENSOR GAP/CH
is
displayed. Then press the /
arrow
buttons to select
CUTTER SENSOR I-MARK.
This screen is to check the sensor responses.
4.
Set the blank media (label or tag) at the cutter sensor,
check the LCD screen display, then relocate the media so
that the I-Mark is oriented over the sensor directly and
check the screen again.
The LCD screen will display
[0]
if blank media (label or tag)
is set on the
I-Mark sensor
and display
[1]
if I-Mark portion
is set.
If the LCD screen does not response correctly, proceed the
following steps to adjust the sensor level.
