6.9 ADJUSTING AND CHECKING SENSORS (Cont’d)
6.9.3 Side hole Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment
This sensor adjustment regulates penetrating ability for media referencing. The side hold sensor is located at
the Lid latch.
To adjust the Side hole sensor level with the Operator Panel
Note:
This calibration is only for fine tuning. There may isn’t any significant value changes during adjustment,
depends on the media used. In this case, adjust the sensor level by the
VR
potentiometer on the
Main PCB
(CONT)
.
1.
Enter to SENSOR LEVEL setting screen and press the
FEED
button repeat-
edly until PAPER SENSOR SIDE HOLE is selected.
2.
Press the purple
Lid Latch lever
to open the hinged
Lid Latch
. Then, phys-
ically position the tag rests over the
side hole sensor
and adjust the
media
guide
to the tag size. Lower and lock the
Lid Latch
.
3.
Check the sensor response via the LCD screen.
The LCD screen will display
[1]
if tag is set on the side sensor and display
[0]
if no tag is set.
4.
Repeat
step 2
with the tag taken out and check the LCD screen.
If the LCD screen does not response correctly, proceed to next step to adjust the sensor level.
5.
Press the
/ arrow
buttons to adjust the sensor level and press the
FEED
button.
Enter the value within the range of 0 to 63. The initial value is 31.
