Backlash between Spiral Gear on Input Shaft and Spiral Gear
on Output Shaft

1. Remove the cap (7).
2. Place fuse to the spiral gear (5) on the output shaft (4).
3. Push the input shaft (3) and pull the output shaft (4).
4. Turn the input shaft two to three turns.
5. Take out the fuse, and measure the thickness of the fuse with

an outside micrometer.

6. After adjusting the backlash between the spiral gear on the input

shaft (3) and the spiral gear (5) on the output shaft (4), install the
shims (8), (9).
