SWITCH OVER
Press the SWITCH OVR soft key in the settings menu.
The switch over setting menu is opened. (Fig. 46)
This menu allows you to enable or disable the so-
called 'empty lock' in a switchover situation (i. e. two
packs of the same product in the cooling compart-
ment). The empty status of a product pack can thus
be locked until the empty product pack has been
replaced or the on/off switch has been pressed.
Background information:
If a product pack is empty, the control switches over to
use the dispenser's backup product pack automatically.
While the backup product pack is used, residual
concentrate in the first (empty) pack could slowly drain
to the dosing system. The empty sensor could there-
fore indicate that the pack is full again.
If the first product pack has not been replaced until the
backup product pack is also empty, the control
switches back to the first (empty) product pack as its
sensor now indicates 'full'. The residual concentrate,
however, will only last for about two more drinks.
Then, both product packs will be empty and the dis-
penser will not be ready for operation until both prod-
uct packs have been replaced.
To prevent the control from switching back to an
empty product pack, press the ENABLE soft key in the
switch over menu to enable the empty lock.
With enabled empty lock, the control system will not
switch over to the first (empty) product pack until the
dispenser has been switched off and on again. This
indicates to the control system that the empty product
pack has been replaced by a new one. The control
system switches then to the new product pack.
Switching the dispenser off and on does not
necessarily mean that the product pack has
been replaced. It is therefore possible that an
empty product pack is still in the dispenser.
EMPTY LOCK
Press the EMPTY LOCK soft key in the settings
menu. The empty lock setting menu is opened.
(Fig. 47)
This menu allows you to enable or disable the 'empty
lock' in a non-switchover situation (i. e. three packs of
different products in the cooling compartment). The
empty status of a product pack can thus be locked
until the empty product pack has been replaced or the
on/off switch has been pressed.
Press the ENABLE soft key in the empty lock menu to
enable the empty lock.
After replacing the empty product pack, the function
must be acknowledged in the settings menu by operat-
ing the switch ON/STANDBY/CLEAR.
